Kids Soccer Classes in Tarzana

Tarzana occupies a central position in the western San Fernando Valley, bordered by Encino to the east and Woodland Hills to the west. Nordic Soccer serves local families through nearby school programs and Valley-wide Development, Club, camp, and league options.

For on-campus after-school soccer, the closest Nordic Soccer campus to Tarzana is Hesby Oaks Leadership Charter in Encino, located on Hesby Street just east of the 405 freeway. For families in western Tarzana, the Chime Institute in Woodland Hills on Collier Street offers another nearby option. Both are for students enrolled at those schools, with LiveScanned coaches and age-appropriate training.

Tarzana families can train locally on Mondays at Tarzana Rec Center. Fall Development is underway, with open co-ed groups for ages 4 to 6 from 4:10-5:00 PM and ages 7 to 9 from 5:00-6:00 PM. Labor Day, September 7, and Thanksgiving week, November 23, are skipped. Valley Village Park (Saturdays), Encino Park (Sundays from October 4), Club teams, camps, and the Viking League provide additional ways to play.

The Viking Championship League, Nordic Soccer's own recreational league, plays on Sundays and draws families from across the Valley. Its next season starts January 2027, and registration is open now. Tarzana parents have found the league to be an excellent introduction to competitive play without the intensity or cost of traditional club soccer. Divisions for TK-K, 1st-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade ensure age-appropriate competition.

Nordic Soccer is actively expanding its school partnerships across the Valley, and Tarzana is a priority area. If you are a parent or school administrator in the 91356 zip code interested in bringing Nordic Soccer to your campus, we welcome the conversation.

Why Nordic here: Nordic Soccer now offers Monday Development at Tarzana Rec Center, alongside nearby after-school campuses, Club teams, camps, and the Viking League.
