Kids Soccer Classes in Valley Village

Valley Village is a compact, family-centered neighborhood nestled between North Hollywood, Studio City, and Sherman Oaks. It is also home to two of Nordic Soccer's most important locations: Colfax Charter Elementary and Valley Village Park.

Colfax Elementary, located on Colfax Avenue, hosts Nordic Soccer's after-school program for enrolled TK through 5th grade students. The school's strong parent community and well-maintained grounds make it an ideal setting for youth soccer. Students transition directly from the classroom to the field, where LiveScanned coaches lead structured sessions that balance skill development with fun. Colfax families have been among Nordic Soccer's most loyal supporters, with many players progressing from the after-school program into Development and Club pathways.

Valley Village Park, on Westpark Drive, is the home base for Nordic Soccer's Development Program. This is where players ages 2 and up come for structured skill-building sessions outside the school day. The park's open green space provides room for multiple training groups to run simultaneously, and the central Valley location makes it accessible from every surrounding neighborhood. Development classes run on Saturday mornings for ages 2 to 6, and any family can join.

Having both an after-school campus and the Development Program hub in the same neighborhood makes Valley Village uniquely positioned in the Nordic Soccer ecosystem. A child can attend after-school soccer at Colfax during the week and add Development sessions at Valley Village Park for extra training, all within walking distance for many families.

The Viking Championship League, Nordic Soccer's Sunday recreational league, starts its next season in January 2027. Club teams practice Tuesdays and Thursdays at Louis Armstrong Middle School in Sherman Oaks and play Sunday games at Van Nuys Middle School, and seasonal camps run at Valley locations when dates are announced. Valley Village's central geography means every Nordic Soccer program is within a 10-minute drive.

If you live in the 91601 or 91607 zip codes, Valley Village is your Nordic Soccer home base.
